Millions of people across Britain face a dispiriting start to the new year because their resolutions for improving life will be doomed to failure, psychologists say. Less than a quarter of those people who set themselves such a goal for 2010 will be likely to succeed, and the remainder will be destined to feel despondent at having broken their resolutions.
