LeRoi Moore, the versatile saxophonist whose signature staccato fused jazz and funk overtones onto the eclectic sound of the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday of complications from injuries he suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident, the band said. He was 46.
So sad. He was too young. So very talented.
I'm very sorry to hear this. Great band.
Too true - so sad... Dave Matthews Band brought a lot of joy into my life, and LeRoi Moore's sax was a huge part of it. He will be missed.
Ditto, ditto, ditto. My Dave infatuation has led me to see the band in concert 4 times, and you could seriously see all of LeRoi's soul -- musically and metaphorically! -- right there on stage. Definitely time to listen to some of those awesome, endless interludes in tribute.
This is very sad. The Dave Matthews Band is an amazing jam band, and LeRoi was an amazing musician. Me and some friends are arranging a small memorial at our coffee shop. Nothing like hanging out and listening to Dave and good friends with good friends.
My heart is broken. Prayers to his family.
Hey guys, I wanted to share this with all the DMB fans out there. We'll forever miss you LeRoi.
